We are excited to announce our Judge and Teacher this year,

Suzy Zimmermann!!!


Suzy Zimmermann is from San Antonio, TX. After working in NYC for many years, she returned to Texas and established Queen of Cake in 2005.  With a background in Education, Fine Arts, Catering and Event Planning, Suzy is in demand as both a Cake Artist and Instructor.  She is the Texas Representative and a first year Board Member for ICES, a two-term past President of the local cake club, member of American Association of Wedding Planners, and member of Texas State Floral Association.  Suzy began learning baking and cake decorating as a child from her German grandmother, but went on to study formally with world renowned teachers to learn a wide array of decorating techniques and mediums.  She holds a Pasty and Baking ARTS Certificate from Escoffier School of Culinary Arts.  She is a Wilton  Certified Instructor, and an ICES Approved Teacher.

She is passionate about the Sugar Arts and is grateful to be able to share her knowledge with others.

CLASSES

Friday, July 21, 2017, 6-9pm at the Chance Ridge Event Center

UNDER THE SEA CAKE TOPPER

In this class you will learn various techniques including mold making, mold manipulation, and hand modeling, using common tools and everyday household items to creaet this unique topper.  Coloring and dusting will also be covered.  All supplies included.

Cost of class is $50.

 

Sunday, July 23, 2017, 10am-1pm at the Chance Ridge Event Center

GELATIN FLOWERS & BUTTERFLIES

In this class you will learn how to prepare, color and paint Gelatin to create beautiful flowers and butterflies.  We will be making 3 different flowers and a butterfly to create a floral cake topper.  All supplies are included.

Cost of class is $50.
